Practicing the Presence of God
This morning six members of the Tranform Roanoke group met to seek the presence of the Lord through soaking prayer... what a sweet time that was to press in with God and allow His Spirit to move in and through us. I personally was led, first of all, to repentance at the foot of the cross before gaining the throne room.... which was a very precious time of personal sanctification. Thereafter, those of us gathered together, individually sensed God in various ways:
- One expressed how wonderful it was to experience His presence..she actually felt the embrace of God which was so tangible that it prompted her to desire His presence throughout the day for sustainance along the way
- Another said she sensed a reminder to "follow the Lamb" as was taught us in the conference, and to "draw near to the waters" which she took as a great encouragement.
- One prayer warrior sensed the Lord say that the "mountian" will be moved... We might seek God's meaning of this and seek His will in this.
- One participant stated she sensed that God wanted us to seek more of Jesus in a particular area of Roanoke.
- One prayer warrior was reminded that in soaking prayer we are to dwell on the character of God, and to ask that he help us to portray His character in our community.
- If anyone has been praying and would like to share what they are sensing from the Lord, please feel free to share about it on both this comment venue or to post it on the Transform Roanoke site.
The main purpose of the Transform Roanoke, this blog, and all means of communication is to keep everyone connected and informed.. if you ever read a post or comment anywhere and have a question or comment about it, but wish anonymity in asking, you can ask by way of comment here and it will be answered through a posting on the the Transform Roanoke site without any reference to the origin of the question. Because we are a diverse group questions are bound to come up and NO question is uncommon or unimportant. Truth and unity are very important as we press in together to pursue God's will for our community.
